Description
Here is a sketch of Santa in his younger days when he was purging the North Pole forests of vampires.
This was a couple decades before he claimed sovereignty over the northern elves, and just after he trapped & tamed the giant flying red elk that was manifest host to the Winter Spirit.
Santa eventually settled down after tricking the beautiful and warmhearted Ice Queen into marrying him with a dishonest wager involving a magic sack he stole from her when she was sleeping.
The immortal Queen's dowry granted the roguish Santa extended life and vitality with the stipulation that at least a dozen, dozen living children somewhere in the world must remember him fondly at all times.

Ah fuck man, this is so badass. I've always wanted to come up with a more "original" folklore-ish Santa. Like a genuine mythological figure from Finland, Karelia, and northern Russia, rather than just Saint Nicholas crossed with Wotan.
